Daddio

Just a shout out to my awesome Dad to wish him a very happy Father's Day.
He's such a wonderful guy and does so much for our family. Here are some things about my dad that I love:

1. He taught us all about hard work. We learned how to mow lawns, rake leaves, paint walls, put in sheetrock, and buck up from my dad.

2. His favorite movies are "The Sound of Music" and "Follow Me Boys" (naturally) and his favorite radio station is 1400 KStar. He just can’t live without his oldies. “Sherry, Sherry baby” anyone?

3. He loves dancing and could probably be a candidate for Dancing with the Stars. It's a good thing he had knee surgery  in December so he can get back out on the dance floor.

4. He is passionate about education. He inspired and encouraged me to become a teacher. I love talking about educational issues with him. Plus, he won the 2010 PTA Golden Apple Award for being the best junior high technology teacher Utah has ever seen. Impressive, right?

5. He doesn’t talk bad about anyone. When we try to get him to gossip, his reply is, “It takes all kinds.”

6. He doesn’t put up with crap. He teaches junior high, is the Scoutmaster for two different troops, and has four teenagers at home. So no, he doesn’t put up with crap.

7. His belly jiggles like a bowl full of jelly when he gets laughing hard at a funny joke or conversation. It gets even better when his eyes start watering.

8. He takes us on great family vacations and has helped me to see the world, one trip at a time.

9. He loves the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has a strong Testimony of it. He gets us up for family prayer each morning and makes sure we have Scripture Power each night.

10. He loves his kids and grandkids and is excited and proud of us when we accomplish great things.

Thanks for everything, Daddio. I love you so much. Thanks for being a great dad who has taught us great things.

Love, Nonie
